Lush Bryanston Garden Design Tahoe
This garden is a mixture of tropical, indigenous and European styles.
We wanted to create a feeling of space with the boundary walls being softened, also to create a lot of colour with foliages and flowers. The levels had to be done perfectly to guide water away from the pool and the house (so rainwater doesn’t end up in the pool!). We luckily could keep all of the existing trees (I don’t like taking trees out unless really necessary).

Garden One Year After Completion

We created a waterfeature next to the Jacuzzi, which is water flowing over glass, surrounded by a wonderful textured riven walling, illuminated by down lighting. The entire garden was designed to be viewed at night with a range of colours to invoke certain moods around the garden. We also created a small entrance/atrium brass arum lily waterfeature that the dining room looks out onto.
A drip irrigation system was installed here under the lawn and flower beds which saves at least 30% water.
The sunny areas were taken advantage of to provide shows of floral colour using bougainvillea, Felicia blue daisies, pansies, irises, statice and a striking purple flowering prunus with a contrasting yellow-flowered gelsenium creeper as a backdrop.
The papyrus grew very quickly and took up its space in the bottom of the garden to create a tropical lush feel near a circular paving feature seating area.
