The starting point of any design should begin with observing and sensing the mood and atmosphere of the space so that the topography, architecture and other existing features are considered. We bring together these aspects with the client’s preferences to design a timeless garden masterpiece that suits the client’s personality and transcends all current trends.
The structure of the garden is as a result of garden vistas or viewpoints, which relate how and for what purpose people move through the garden, how the garden is viewed and how the garden and the house flow into one another. Asking the right questions to facilitate the emergence of a design that truly suits the living space is one of our most important tasks.
A garden can have more than one particular style by sectioning up into ‘small garden rooms’ or it could have a fusion of different garden styles. Each style of garden will complement or contrast with the house’s interior and exterior features, for example a tropical garden design would soften and contrast with the clean, harsh lines of a square and angular building. In any garden design, we always strive to create a harmony between all of the elements and consider the building design style and interior decorating themes to allow the architecture and character of the home to be complimented by external design.
