Roots Landscape Design is a small/medium landscape company offering a personal service to customers with large or small budgets, providing sensible landscaping that is driven by the passion of its partners (mother and son) Bee and Nicholas McLean. These landscape designers establish long term relationships and are supported by an enthusiastic, skilled network to offer.
We take pride in our work and form a long term commitment to be involved in a client’s garden on an ongoing basis. We get almost as much pleasure from your garden paradise as you do and revisiting established gardens around Johannesburg is a highlight of the job.
Having over 25 years garden experience, Bee has an extensive knowledge of plants and an understanding of how each one fits into different landscaping styles, this translates into an approach to garden art that is both practical and exceptional. She loves working with flowers and colour to create flower garden designs and English garden styles. As well as creating modern and practical garden designs, Nicholas has a passion for nature and is an expert at creating Eco- designs that incorporate aesthetics with sustainability. This can be seen in his Japanese Zen gardens which are great examples of balance, peace, simplicity and harmony as well as in organic vegetable garden designs that look good using companion planting and permaculture methods to produce great harvests. |
